Day 2:  Mexico City-Teotihuacan

Today your journey will take you to where the past and the present mix. Along the way you will visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of America, then continue to the impressive archaeological zone of Teotihuacan, to admire the monumental Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, the temple of Quetzalpapalotl, the citadel and the avenue of the dead.

Day 3:  Cuernavaca-Taxco

We'll begin today with another panoramic tour in Cuernavaca, the city of the eternal spring, to visit one of the oldest Cathedrals in America, the Palace of Cortes, its mansions and avenues.

From there you will continue to the Sierra Madre to visit one of its treasures: Taxco. Taxco is known as the "World Silver Capital", and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will visit the famous Baroque parish church of Santa Prisca, its cobble stoned streets and the silver artwork of its people.

Afterwards we'll return to the hotel in Mexico City and you'll be free to enjoy the city on your own.

Day 4:  Mexico City Tour

In the morning, accompanied by an English-speaking guide / driver, you will be taken on a tour of the historical center of Mexico City with a visit to Paseo de la Reforma,Angel de la Independencia and The Zocalo,a massive concrete area signed with a giant flag. Inside the underground Zocalo station, you’ll see historical reproductions of the Square, exhibits of ceremonial offerings and stone statues of goddesses among others.

Continue to the Metropolitan Cathedral which represents a synthesis of art forms in New Spain. The church has a baroque and neo classical facade, its Altar of Forgiveness, the sacristy, and the Altar of Kings are worth looking out for! Proceed to the National Palace and you’ll see patios, corridors and stairways adorned with impressive murals by Diego Rivera depicting the history of Mexico.

Visit the Anthropology Museum ,(Closed on Monday) one of the world’s 10 best museums and take a guided tour to learn about the pre-Hispanic history of Meso-America. Return to your hotel in the evening and spend the night.

Today's program ends around 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cancun. Our staff will wait for you at Cancun Airport.

Day 5:  Cancun - Chichen Itza

Today, we'll have full day visit to Chichen Itza, the most important religious center of the Mayan Era. Built in the jungles over a thousand year ago, the ruins are still relatively intact. You'll go on a walking tour to the major sites of Astronomical, Observatory, the Nine-Level Castle, the immense Ball Court, the Court of the Thousand Columns and the Temple of Jaguars.

Day 6:  Cancun Free Day

You'll have the sixth day at your leisure to explore the Crown Jewel of the Caribbean. You may take an optional jungle safari tour or diving tour as well as partake in sports activities on the beach.
