Day 1: Home - Salt Lake City

Summary of the Day:

Your journey starts at the SLC airport when our tour guides in blue uniforms and holding signs welcomes you as you exit the arrival gate. After a short drive, our tour guide will drop you off at the hotel so you can rest after the flight.

Tour guide pick up hours are from 11:00am to 6:00pm, please wait at the baggage claim at Terminal 2. If you arrive after 6:00pm, there will also be free hotel shuttles to take you there. We will spend the night in Salt Lake City.

Day 2: Jackson - Grand Teton National Park - Yellowstone National Park

Summary of the Day:

In the morning, we will head to the small town of Jackson, Wyoming, a famous frontier town during the Western development. Afterwards we will head into Grand Teton National Park passing by Jackson Lake and stop at an outlook to view the Grand Teton Peak. From there, we will take you into the first national park in the world, Yellowstone National Park. We will see 10 of Yellowstone's major scenery sites over the spans of 2 days, including Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Spring and Fountain Paint Pot. Spend the night in West Yellowstone.

Jackson, WY: famous frontier town, located at the crossing of Grand Teton and Rocky Mountains, it became a heaven for outdoors sports enthusiast. It is also the third largest artwork exchange location in the world and a popular vacation destination for the wealthy. The widely praised Elk Antler Arches Park, with its four arches made with thousands of elk antlers is a must see.

Grand Teton National Park: one of the most beautiful national parks with its snow covered mountain peaks year round and wide range of wild life ecosystem. It even attracted great writer Ernest Hemingway to fall in love with this place and had been the backdrop for countless Western movies.

Yellowstone National Park: the very first national park in the whole world, Yellowstone attracted countless visitors over the year with its unique geothermal activities and fascinating wild life. You will find all four different kinds of geothermal activities, geyser, hot spring, fumarole and mud pot as we take you travel through the park.

1. Yellowstone Lake (West Thumb): this is the highest altitude volcanic lake in North America. We will take you to walk along the trail beside the lake and see the tranquil lake view plus all the beautiful sites on the way, like Abyss Pool, Black Pool, and Fishing Hole.

2. Old Faith Geyser: the most famous landmark inside Yellowstone, it's also the logo of the national park, erupting roughly every 91 minutes, this is a must see when you are inside Yellowstone.

3. Grand Prismatic Spring: the third largest hot spring in the world, it's the most renowned hot spring in the national park. Setting foot into the area will surround you with steam and allowing you an up close view of the brilliant colors inside the hot spring.

4. Fountain Paint Pot: walking along this trail will provide you a great view of the light pink color mud pot with its constantly boiling mud bubbles and the fumaroles nearby.

Day 3: Yellowstone National Park - Buffalo Bill Dam - Gillette

Summary of the Day:

In the morning we will continue our tour inside Yellowstone National Park, visiting Norris Basin, Yellowstone Canyon, Yellowstone Fall, Mud Volcano, Fishing Bridge, Hayden valley. After we all finished those amazing attractions, will exit the park from the east entrance to Buffalo Bill Dam to enjoy the scenic view along the way. We will arrive and spend the night at Gillette, Wyoming.

5. Norris Basin: this is the most concentrated location of geothermal activities in Yellowstone National Park. While walking on the trail in this steamy fairyland, you'll be treated to a great view of all the hot springs along the way.

6. Yellowstone Canyon (Artist Point): see the canyon in all its colorful glory. The rock walls of the cliff was painted yellow by long years exposure to the sulfur content from the surrounding thermal, thus named Yellowstone. We will view the Canyon from the Artist Point viewing area, one of the best view for this location.

7. Yellowstone Waterfall: you might see the waterfall from afar along the way, but we'll take you one step closer and give you a view right next to the waterfall to experience in person its power.

8. Mud Volcano: one of the highest concentrations of onus pots in the national park. See the Mud Cauldron, Dragon mouth spring and Mud Volcano along with a chance of seeing some wild lives in the area.

9. Fishing Bridge: The original bridge was built in 1902. The Fishing Bridge was historically a tremendously popular place to fish. Angling from the bridge was quite good, due to the fact that it was a major spawning area for cutthroat trout. It finally became to the best place to observe the Yellowstone Trout. Usually the trout will spawn in this area and jumping out the water during the summer time.

10. Hayden Valley: While once there was a lake here, Hayden Valley is now a wildlife paradise and the location of the largest rut of free roaming bison in the world.

Buffalo Bill Dam: named after the famous Western showman, this dam was created by blocking the Shoshone River and flooding the valley. It provides a beautiful yet peaceful view of the surrounding mountains and rock formations.

Day 4: Devils Tower - Mount Rushmore - Crazy Horse - Casper

Summary of the Day:

Arrive at Devils Tower in the morning and see this famous Wyoming landmark. Afterwards we'll head into South Dakota to visit the Mount Rushmore Memorial, where you can take a walk along the Presidential Trail getting right underneath the sculptures of the presidents. After lunch, we will arrive at the Crazy Horse Memorial, a symbol of the Native American spirit and their rebellion against oppression. Enjoy the view of the endless grassy fields of Wyoming as we traffic to Casper to spend the night.

Devils Tower: the first national monument in the country that was designated in 1906. This uniquely shaped rock formation was made world famous when director Steven Spielberg shot the climatic scenes of the movie Close Encounter of the Third Kind right here.

Mount Rushmore: see the likeness of President Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt carved in exquisite detail. These presidents represent the development of United States during its first 130 years.

Crazy Horse: a prefect representation of the spirit and struggle of Native Americans, along with their history and culture. It is also going to be the largest sculpture in the world.

Day 5: Independence Rock - Park City Olympic Village - Salt Lake City Tour

Summary of the Day:

Continue our travel through the Wyoming fields in the morning, we arrive first at Independence Rock, a historical landmark in the development of the Western frontier. We will get to Utah around noon time and take you to see the Olympic Village for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Park City. In the afternoon we will see the State Capitol building, Temple Square of Mormon Church and the Great Salt Lake when we get to Salt Lake City.

Independence Rock: a representation of the Western spirit and one of the most famous landmarks along the important Old Oregon Trail. This lonely rock on the Wyoming fields had bare witness to the harsh journey westward of the early pioneers.

Park City Olympic Village: the location for the main events during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, this scenic village provides an interesting look into the culture and life style of Utah.

Utah State Capitol: the governor’s office is located in inside of this building. Sitting on top of the Capitol Hill in Salt Lake City, this building gives you a full view of the city that surrounds it. It is also the icon of the most famous historic landmark of the state.

Temple Square of Mormon Church: this is the headquarter of the Mormon Church and its 15 million followers around the world. It’s the center of Mormon history and the location of the famous Salt Lake Temple.

Great Salt Lake: Western Hemisphere’s largest saltwater lake, also North America’s largest inland salt lake. The lake is more than six times the salinity of seawater, thus known as “Dead Sea of America”. Krill is a unique creature growing inside of the Great Salt Lake.

Day 6: Salt Lake City - Bonneville Salt Flats -Elko - Reno

Summary of the Day:

In the morning we will see the famous Bonneville Salt Flats.

In the afternoon, travelers will head westbound along the Lincoln Memorial Highway I-80, during which the visitors are able to see the largest basin in the western U.S. After stop at Elko for lunch, the tour group will visit the local museum there and then head to Reno. Stay overnight in Reno.

Bonneville Salt Flats: one of the prominent salt flats in west hemisphere, and considered as the twin sister of Bolivia’s Solar de Uyuni. The salt flats are natural wonders not only awe-inspiring, but also seem to be the great place to play with perspective. With reflections of surrounding mountain, clouds, especially constant bright sunshine, the Bonneville Salt Flats is a dreamland for photographer. Plus, this place is a perfect speedway for those racing cars, airplanes and aerospace shuttles to land and compete.

Elko: a primary town in northern Nevada for local economy, since the largest gold mine in the USA located nearby. This city is called the capital of Nevada’s gold belt. Meanwhile, Elko is also the home of the annual National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, said festival is held each January for celebrating the life in the rural West, featuring poetry, music, stories, gear, film and food.

Reno: the largest small city in the world. Reno is considered as twin sister of Las Vegas and had a glorious history during the US Western expansion history Meanwhile, its fate, past and present, also represents the attitude of American people towards gaming industry, especially the gambling and entertainment industry. You are able to try your luck in Reno.

Day 7: Lake Tahoe - California State Capitol - Napa Valley - San Francisco

Summary of the Day:

In the morning, the group will first visit the Lake Tahoe to feel the clearest water in the world. Then tour group will arrive at the California’s State Capital located in Sacramento, wherein you are able to take a picture with the Golden Bear in front of the Governor’s office. Afterwards, the group will go to Napa Valley, the world’s famous home of California red wine. Arrive in San Francisco in late evening. Customers dismiss in San Francisco.

Lake Tahoe: the biggest and clearest alpine Lake in USA and its depth is as deep as 501 meters. Overlooked from the sky, Lake Tahoe looks like an emerald stone embedded into green wildness with indescribable natural beauty.

Napa valley: considered one of the premier wine regions in the world, wherein at least 250 wineries distributed. Each year, millions of visitors come here not only for tasting the top quality Californian wines, but also for appreciating spectacular rustic scenery in this area.

SFO Airport Drop-Off: Please arrange your flights departing from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) after 8:30 pm for U.S and Canada flights or after 9:30 pm for International flights.

    5.We offer a "buy two get one discounted" or "Buy two get two discounted” . We reserve seats in advance for those who enjoy the discount. If someone who enjoys the offer does not participate in the group on the same day, the tour guide will receive a fine in cash when they get on the bus. 

    6.Men and women can arrange matching rooms for the same gender in West coast tours; Only man can arrange matching rooms for the same gender for Yellowstone tours and Southern United States tours.

    7.There are adjustments in the itinerary. If you are staying at the Las Vegas hotel on the following holiday/show date, you need to pay an additional upgrade price (the local tours have already adjusted, no additional fees are required):

    Antelope Canyon is replaced by the Glen Canyon Dam Visitor Center + Baowei Lake Observation Deck:refunded $45;

    Yosemite replaced by Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks or Paso Robles + Santa Barbara:no refunded;

    Sunshine Township is replaced by Palm Springs Town Center:no refunded.

How to book:

Your purchase does not guarantee confirmation. Your purchase will initiate a reservation process. We will confirm with you via email within one to two business days.

Local tour provider reserves the right to make modifications to tour arrangements including order of tour activities, hotel and its location if deemed necessary.

Booking process:
1. Place Order: Choose the departure date, pick-up location, number of adults/children, and tours or activities that you like, provide all required information and then place your order.
2. Complete Payment: You can pay with Discover, Master and Visa card, or with PayPal. Once you have completed the payment, you will receive a Reservation Form. The Reservation Form is not your voucher.
3. Confirm Order: Confirmation of your order will take up to 2 business days, depending on availability. If the tour you have chosen is unavailable or cancelled, we will offer you a full refund.
4. Get E-Voucher: Once your order has been confirmed, we will immediately send an E-Voucher to your email. Please read it carefully and keep it with you while traveling.
After You Book:

Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a Receipt of Reservation via email.

Within one to two business days of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email from us. If you need to book an airline ticket, we recommend that you do so after you receive a confirmation of your tour reservation from us.

An E-Ticket will be sent to you via email as soon as details of your reservation are confirmed or your supporting information is received by us. We will provide you with all detailed information about your tour on the E-Ticket. Contact information for local tour provider will be included on E-Ticket for your convenience or re-confirmation purpose if re-confirmation is required.

Simply print your E-Ticket and present it with your valid photo ID on the day of your activity to your tour guide. Please remember E-Ticket is your proof of purchase.

Amendment/Cancellation/Refund policy

Once you receive your electronic travel voucher, your order has been confirmed. For any reason that you cannot attend the tour or desert the groupearly, there will be no refund for unused tours. All flights and hotel cannot be changed or canceled once confirm.

  • (a)If amendment is made at least 7 days before tour departure date, the reservation will be subject to a $50.00 Amendment Fee and any other surcharge.

    (b) You can fill the flight information one-time for free after receive Confirmation Form, and will be charge $50 Amendment Fee after.

    (c)If a tour is scheduled to depart within the next 7 days, we will not change a traveler's departure date and will not offer a refund.

  • 18How to Change/ Cancel a Reservation
  • Amendment or Cancellation must be made by filling out and signing the Usitour Amendment Request Form and Cancellation Request Form. Please email, fax or mail to us, and confirm of receiving by calling us. We will process your request within 7 to 15 business days.

1. Usitour cooperates with top local tour operators and ensures the best quality of services to all travelers.

2. The sequence of itineraries is subject to change without prior notice according to departure date, weather, traffic, holidays, construction, etc.

3. Please ensure safety of your luggage always, especially in public areas. The tour operator or the tour guide cannot be held responsible for any loss of personal belongings.

4. Please bring valid documentation on travel date (passport, driving license, visa, etc).

5. No-show of third and fourth discounted passengers incurs a penalty fee, and the first and the second passengers should pay the fee to the guide.

6. National Park Pass / City Pass / Entry Tickets / Annual or Season Passes / Senior Pass (or) any admission tickets to attractions purchased on your own are not allowed on this tour. All mandatory / optional tour services, have to be purchased as instructed in the exclusions section.

7. Two full-sized beds per room. No additional bed for children, 3rd or 4th travelers. 

8. Tour is not wheel chair accessible.

9 Children at 18 or under 18 years old must be accompanied by a partner at 19 or 19+ years old.

10. We recommend that you book your flight ticket after receiving the confirmation e-tour ticket. After ordering the ticket, please return to our website tours.usitour.com “My Account” to fill in the ticket information for the guide to pick up the plane.

11. If the flight is late or delayed, please inform the pick-up personnel in time. We are not responsible for this issue affected due to your pick-up arrangement.

12. For the principle of fairness, the bus seats are rotated daily during the trip. Please cooperate with the tour guide to avoid unnecessary disputes.

13. For New Year's Day, National Day, Labor Day or other long weekend holidays, the group fee will be adjusted appropriately. Please confirm the price before booking.

14. In order to ensure that all guests can start the tour on time, please arrive at the pick-up location 10 minutes in advance, and we are not responsible for your expiration.

Special Note about Yellowstone National Park

1. The Yellowstone N.P. Tour is one of the most popular itineraries during summer, usually sold out 45-60 days in advance. If you need to make sure staying in the Yellowstone cabin, please make a reservation in advance. Please consult our customer service to confirm the location of the cabin.

2. Please check with your customer service staff to verify your order before ordering.

3. Please do not book flight tickets before receiving the electronic confirmation ticket issued by our customer service to avoid unnecessary losses;

4. If you have booked an airline ticket, hotel, etc. in advance without our electronic confirmation ticket, then Usitour company will not be responsible for your personal actions, please understand.

5. Cancellation clause: 

Yellowstone N.P. Group Cancellation regulations are subject to this clause.

1).Cancellation of 30 days (including 30 days) or more before departure, 10% of the total group fee (minimum fine of $150 per guest);

2).Cancellation 11-29 days before departure, a fine of 40% of the total group fee;

3).Cancellation 7-10 days prior to departure, a fine of 60% of the total group fee will be charged;

4).No changes shall be made within 6 days and less before departure.

5).Reducing the number of participants is considered as a cancellation of the itinerary and is subject to the cancellation clause above.

6).According to the itinerary, the tour is ordered within 7 days of the departure date. If you cancel the electronic travel confirmation ticket, you will not be refunded.

Special tips: 

For the check-in of the cabins in Yellowstone Park, due to the regulations of the national park management, the change of the departure date, number of people and name (including the name of any guest in the same room) after the itinerary is confirmed by reference to the cancellation clause above.

The US West Group's cancellation regulations are subject to this clause

1.Cancellation of 30 days (including 30 days) or more before departure, 10% of the total group fee (minimum fine of $150 per guest);

2.Cancellation 15-29 days before departure, a fine of 25% of the total group fee;

3.Cancellation 8-14 days prior to departure, a fine of 50% of the total group fee will be charged;

4.No changes shall be made within 7 days and less before departure.

5.Reducing the number of participants is considered as a cancellation of the itinerary and is subject to the cancellation clause above.

6.According to the itinerary, the tour is ordered within 7 days of the departure date. If you cancel the electronic travel confirmation ticket, you will not be refunded.

7.We reserve a place for the concessionaire. If the guest who enjoys the discount for the three-person or four-person room does not appear on the day, the tour guide will charge a penalty of $150 to the same room.
